Honours

Using honours, decorations and chivalryc distinctions in Italy

This is the list of the orders (excluding those of the Italian Republic that can be beared without problems) that the Italian Republic recognize and allow to use and bear:


Holy Sepulchre Equestrian Order (Ordine Equestre del Santo Sepolcro): it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


Saint George Holy Military Costantinian Order (Sacro Militare Ordine Costantiniano di San Giorgio): it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


San Giuseppe di Toscana: it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


Saint Stephan pope and martyr (Santo Stefano Papa e martire): it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


San Ludovico di Parma: it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


Saint George Holy Military Costantinian Order of Parma Bourbon House (Sacro Angelico Imperiale Ordine Costantiniano di S. Giorgio della Casata Borbone Parma): it must be authorized by the Prime Minister, State Ceremonial Department, Heraldry and Honours office;


The use of the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice cross and of the Palma del Pellegrino, issued by the Holy See, needs no authorizations.


The same for the honours given by SMOM (Malta Souverain Military Order), as it is law international subject (art. 7 della legge 3 marzo 1951, n.178).
